MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 7:00 PM by Supervisor, Jim Boggio

MINUTES: April 14, 1997 reviewed: motion to accept, Keith, supported by Johnson,

vote unanimous

TREASURER'S REPORT: Reviewed and accepted

APPROVAL OF BILLS: Reviewed May expenditures; motion to accept, Van Pelt, supported

by Keith, vote unanimous

SUPERVISOR'S REMARKS AND CORRESPONDENCE:

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Volunteer Fire Department - Mike Radigan

VFD Auxiliary - Anna Royce (Absent)

Water & Well-head Committee - John Wakeman

8" water main at one of two locations, Pine Street or Center Street. The estimated cost

would be approx. $200,000. Without Federal Assistance, the board decided it would be

too costly to handle at this time. (See TES estimates, on file)

Cemetery Committee - John Pippenger (Absent)

Solid Waste Committee - Bruce Olson

resident of Eagle Harbor has accepted the position.

Wed. 9am - 12pm starting on May 14th through mid-October.

Beach Committee - Fred Kellow (Absent)

Recreation Committee - Barb Sickler (Absent)

NEW BUSINESS

Zoning Board of Appeals has asked the township's recommendation on this matter.

The owner would like to build on his property which is located next to Eliza Creek. Those

attending the meeting walked over to the site to look at the situation. It was decided to

recommend a variance of 20' from the rip-rap (see paperwork on file). Motion was

accepted by Boggio, Johnson, Clarkson, and Keith. Van Pelt opposed, stating he is hesitant

about allowing building to occur next to public waterways. Boggio to attend the next

meeting of the County's Zoning Board of Appeals to be held June 2, 1997, representing

Eagle Harbor on this matter.

Act, but the board has decided not to take action at this time. A resolution to accept cannot

be acted upon until clearer clarification of the amendment can be made.
